Authentic Lumpia Recipe
Lumpias are Filipino egg rolls,
and are stuffed
with a variety of vegetables and spices.

2 Lbs. - Pork Shoulder (or Pork
Butt)
12 cloves – Minced Garlic (Set aside 6 cloves, see option below)***
1/2 cup - Distilled White Vinegar***
1/2 cup - Soy Sauce (recommend Kikkoman brand)***
1 cup – water***
1/2 tsp. – ground black pepper
1 or 2 pcs. – Bay leaves
Salt to taste
***Double the ingredients
if more sauce is preferred.
(Note: The more garlic the better!)
PREPARATION:
Cut the pork meat into small cubes. Mix in other ingredients in a saucepan (set aside half of the minced garlic) and bring to a boil. Then lower heat and simmer until pork meat is tender. (Ready to be served but for added taste see below).
Serve with Rice.
OPTION: For Added Taste (Filipino Style)
Remove the pork meat and set
aside the sauce. In a frying pan add vegetable oil and stir-fry the pork
meat and the set aside minced garlic until the pork meat is golden brown.
Add the set aside sauce and bring to a boil.
